Bet you didn't think I'd be back...

To be honest I didn't have internet access until a few weeks ago. The phone company(s) made the move a right disaster. It really boils down to I strongly can not recommend Cavalier. Just my 2 cents.

Anyways both the shop & myself are all settled in at our new location. Basically every aspect of my life changed in December and January. I suppose a quick overview is in order to get everyone caught up.
~My mum got married & moved out of state.
~I purchased a lovely building in a great neighborhood and moved both the yarn shop and myself into it.
~I'm now also the landlord of 2 apartments and got to jump into that mess feet first with a nightmare tenant who after his eviction left the apartment a disaster.
~I was offered the opportunity to wholesale my alphabet stitch markers and am now in 14 stores in 6 different states.

I've given talks, presentations, interviews, and designed an entire block of the month afghan.

I think the afghan has been the highlight of my knitting since I was last on here. I don't have a photo handy of the whole afghan, but here's a few of the squares:

I've also knit up a super cute baby set for the shop. It's a Knitting at Knoon pattern (Wee-One Welcome Set) and knit in Lynn H's Cushy Color Sport.

The other highlight of my winter crafting is actually a crochet project. This is done in Queen Ann's Lace in Noro's new yarn, Taiyo.

I've got lots more to tell, but I plan on updating this blog a whole lot quicker now.

Before I go I should give a quick update on the fur balls!
Trent has settled in to apartment life quite well. I think he likes having a more limited range. Plus he has a super cool jungle gym thing on top of a shelving unit.

Robin is now 16 months old! I can hardly even believe it. He got his big boy coat all in this winter. Despite how he looks, it's all fluff. He got a bath today and trust me, he's skinny as a rail.

Wait who's that!?
That is Toshiko the Australian Shepherd. It's a long story, but she's now living with Robin and I. She's a super sweet girl and they get along great.
