Sweet Knits

I had a lovely time knitting a little distraction project. When I work on a big knitting project (like the spiderweb shawl) I need a little side project once & a while.
So I gathered around the fur kids & got to work on a super cute little hat.
Siouxsie actually sat near by (kinda unusual)

Trent gets that pesky itch!
Robin was fresh from a bath himself & decided to take a nice long nap.

Okay,
Many of you have probably seen the Sweet Baby Cap over at Hello Yarn. The pattern is freshly translated & I had a partial skein of Claudia Hand Painted in Poppy!
This hat turned out so nice & was a really easy knit.
The photos don't come close to showing the correct color of the yarn. It's a super saturated orange/red/pink & my camera just about blew a circuit attempting to capture the color.

Robin humbled himself about and allowed me to photograph him in the hat... this is as close to the correct color as I got.

One part of the pattern is a little fuzzy. I attached the ties by picking up 3 stitches at each of the 2 back pointy bits. Then I worked an i-cord on each at the same time (one from either end of the ball).

This ended up working really well. I was freaked out at several points that I might run out of yarn (I only had 30g to start with) but I had a comfortable amount left over in the end.
I want to leave you with a photo of my clematis that's overgrown 2 trellises and 2 pine trees. It's in full bloom right now & really is quite a view!

More photos of the current blooms in the garden can be found on my flickr page.
