Robin & I just had a lovely anti-barking session over at the Brenke Fish Ladder and on the River Trail. I had planned to start working on heeling today, but there were tons of people in the park & barking seemed to be a big issue with Robin. Our instructor recommended teaching him an alternate behavior to do instead of barking. So, every time anybody came by on the trail he had to sit down & "look at me", once the person passed he got a treat. This actually worked really well. By the time we had walked to LCC & back he wasn't barking at walkers at all & only barked once or twice at joggers/bikers. This is a huge improvement over our last few walks. Now I think it's just a matter of being consistent with this new training.
In Knitting news today... My Cashcotton sweater is beginning to really take shape. Last night I had a marathon knitting session and finished up the back. Plus I went back to where I split the body for the arm holes & did short rows for the front (in a lace pattern...). I'm now just about to where I'm splitting the from for the v-neck. It feels so good when you can start to see that this blob of fabric really will become a sweater.
