First Post on New Blog!

Okay,
This is very new to me, so I'll see how it goes... I hope I can figure out how to add photos.

While I've been working on this whole design project I've also been knitting like mad. I've got about 9" of the sweater I started Thursday already knit! I'm really loving knitting with this yarn (Rowan Cashsoft) and the angora is starting to give it just a little halo.

(hey the photo thing worked!)
My favorite part of this sweater is that I'm just totally relaxing on it. I didn't swatch, my yarn is the wrong size for the pattern so I'm making it up as I go, I just am trusting in my instincts to knit a sweater that fits. I don't even know what the neckline is going to be yet other than it won't be a boat neck like the original design. I've done a few measurements & it looks like my instincts are steering me right and it will fit.
I've been lucky to receive several gifts this weekend. Erin stopped by and brought Robin a super cool bag of treats!

The cow's legs, arms, and head can be pulled off. Robin hasn't figured that out yet, but it has a squeaker & he loves da squeaker.

Robin says Thank You!
Then I arrived at work Monday morning a mysterious skein of huggable green yarn was sitting there with a note simply saying Rae. I thought it was simply odd till I found out that it appeared there between when the store closed Saturday & when it opened Sunday. It seems I have a yarn elf...

How adorable is Robin?
What a great gift. And a yarn elf? You are one lucky lady.

Sorry - I totally forgot to comment on your sweater!
I am not distracted by cute pets, not at all.
The sweater looks gorgeous. Instinctual knitting is something I am slightly in awe of. Can't wait to see the finished product.

New site looks great and my understanding is that Moveable Type is really flexible once you get the hang of it (I'm a Wordpress person myself...cowardice runs deep here...) I want a yarn elf! Lucky girl!

Congrats on your new site!

I think Robin is in love with Bessie the Cow!!!
The sweater looks great-I think I like it better in the Cashsoft than the cotton!

I love the new site!! Congrats!
