I got to visit the most unexpected creature today here on the island. This Camel lives just down the road from the resort. From what I'm told he's a rescue, but how he came to be here is still a story to be told.
He was a very friendly creature & came right up to greet us and get a little attention.
As you can imagine were being kept very busy here with presentations & activities from 8am till 9:30 at night. Luckily the next two days will include a few hours in the afternoon for free time. I've been told an Alpaca farm trip is planned for tomorrow & a yarn store trip on Thursday! Thats the right kind of free time...lol...I presented my book idea tonight & am so excited I can hardly sleep. All I can say right now is that if tonight was any indication I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when my book comes out. I've found all sorts of new direction & feel the book really shaping up. It will still be a long road to completion, but I will get there.
I have lots of new photos to upload to the flickr album from the trip... the link is on the last post. They will probably be up tomorrow morningish.
Night~

Sounds like you are having a great time and hopefully you can tell us all about it at Guild! Maybe the yarn stores out there will have some new yarns you haven't stocked and will order when you get back. Glad your book idea was a hit!!!!!

Only one little thing about the camel... He is actually a she and her name is Mona. She's an island attraction, and many of us stop by to pet her and/or feed her a carrot or two regularly. Great meeting you at the retreat. I agree with your own prediction about your book... it will be fantastic!

I can't believe you got to pet the camel! We saw her several times as we drove by but never stopped.
It was great fun meeting you last week!
