Okay, I'm rounding second base & running home on my Tigers Socks! The first sock is finished & the second is just past the top ribbing. I'm totally in love with these socks & they're really helping me pass the week off between them winning the ALCS and the beginning of the World Series. Then it's back to tense nervous knitting during the games on my second Alpaca Sock (an alpaca sock can't be too dense so it got volunteered for playoff knitting)
In the mean time I'll show you some eye candy from the first sock!

A closeup of the chart~ (mmm... duplicate stitch)
(note: I used the old fashion D they paint behind home plate rather than the version on their uniforms. This is also the one on most of the fan gear)
And possibly my favorite part, the end of the toe.

Of course I love it because it meant the sock was finished because of the details I used in the toe decreasing. I pulled the rib all the way to the end doing decreases right at the rib's edge. Then when I kitchenered stitched it closed I used both a knit & purl graft to create a look that the ribbing just bends back into it self. It's all in the small details!
(there are two posts today so look below for news on recent Swaps)

Hubbo is drooling over those socks and hinted at them - told them too advanced for me these days - maybe the next world series they play in. Seriously, you should sell that pattern - have you seen what Detroit gear is selling for these days? They look great!
