Okay, My camera drama continues today with dead batteries....
So please use your imagination, or pop over to the shop (orange button on right) to see what the last dyelot looked like. I got way closer to the last dyelots than I expected!
First up, I mentioned in my Iris Garden sock pattern than one of the colors was similar to my 'A Good Sock' yarn, but wasn't dyed by me. It was from the dye-o-rama swap & my pal dyed it on a machine knit blank in a workshop.
So, if devised a new way of skeining my yarn to get super long repeats and dyed up some super striping yarn in the color of my sample sock.
I'm calling this color 'Iris Garden' & I'll post a photo asap.
As far as my Amber sock yarn goes I think I covered all the colors you asked for...
I now have Amber, Petunia, Brick, and Rainbow in stock.

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
I love knitting with soft fibers... at the moment I'm quite fond of wool/silk blends and superwash merinos.
I do break out in hives easily, so I try to avoid Itchy fibers like Icelandic wool (Lopi). I'm also quite seriously allergic to acrylic.
2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
everywhere... I do have a collection of tins, vases, and yazzi organizers that they theoretically go in.

How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you
consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I've been knitting since the fourth grade. Initially I learned from my Grandma... from there I figured it out on my own. As far as I knew no other knitters existed until 2002.
I would probably say I'm advanced.
4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
not really...but I'm working on that
5. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products, etc.)
My biggest allergy is to artificial fragrences. I'm generally okay with scented candles (I love Liloc & other berry scents), but I have a big problem with lotions. If it's scented with natural scents I can use it & I have a few glycerine & shea butter lotions that pals have sent me that I love!
6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
Yes.. I have a huge sweet tooth. Any chocolate. I can't have almonds.
My absolute favorite candies is white chocolate covered oreos from Southern Candy Makers, mint dark chocolate from Toucher, and butter cookies from Belgium... yes I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to sweets.(I also love Reeses peanut butter cups)
7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
I do a bit of polymer clay, I sew, crochet, and bead. Yes I spin. I love to spin.
8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
My computer & my walkman both play MP3s. I have a bit of an ecletic music taste. Pretty much anything other than Country, Rap & top 40 make me happy. Some of my favorite bands are: Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cure, Hot Hot Heat, Beborn Beton, Steve Riley & the Mamu Playboys, Paul Simon, and Squirrel Nut Zippers.
9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?
I love Purple, Green, and Brown. I guess neon & odd color combinations don't agree with me (I once got green & orange sock yarn that was quite icky).
10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
Ummm.. I'm skipping that first one, but I do have 2 cats: Trent & Siouxsie.
11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
All of the above except the ponchos.
12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
I knit lots of socks, mittens, shawls and sweaters
13. What are you knitting right now?
I've got lots of partial pairs of socks... I also am teaching thrummed mitten classes so several pairs of class samples are on the needles. Plus 2 sweaters & a shawl
14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?
Of course!
15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
Bamboo circular all the way! (although I did see tempered glass circular needles that I think I need to try...)
16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
Yes I do
17. How old is your oldest UFO?
I'm not so sure anymore... I was guilted into finishing my 4 year old sweater.
18. What is your favorite holiday?
I actually like holidays like Labor Day because I get a real day off work! No family get togethers just a day for me.
19. Is there anything that you collect?
Those little 1" badge type buttons. I have a bunch with bands, hello kitty, and even a few knitting ones.

Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get
your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
I'm always after yarns that I don't carry at the store... like Koigu, Fleece Artist, & Touch Me. I also love hand dyed yarns. I have access to most patterns, books, and magazines.
21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?
Umm... I'm sure there is some wonderful new something or other that I can't think of off the top of my head right now.
22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
Yep, my foots 8 inches around & 9.5 inches long (7 1/2 womans shoe)
