Hi, I just got back from a very cool local event, Llama Fest!
This a show that's held each  year at Michigan State University that features Alpacas & Llamas. They have fiber contests, animal judging, obstacle courses, costume competitions, and farm sales.
I saw lots of very cute Alpacas~

There were also lots of Llamas~


Llamas were cute, but I'm a bit uncomfortable with animals that tower 2 feet above me.
Alpacas are more my pace I think...

I also saw Sharon Winsauer there (designer of the fab Dragon Shawl!)
She let me know that she still has more students for an Intro to Lace class, & since the first session is full we will be opening up another session!
She had the new colors of Fino there are well & I'll be rushing out to get those in the store.
I just couldn't resist adding to my lace yarn stash~

500 yd of lace weight mill spun from her Alpacas.
She hand dyed it with Natural Dyes, Indigo & Fusti.
It's super soft & the colors are fantastic. She has lots more in several other natural colorways. It's well worth it.

Well, I'm off to a Detroit Tigers game tonight!
I haven't told you guys this but I'm a big Detroit Tigers & Detroit Red Wings fan.
Maybe tonight I'll post a picture of me as a kid all ready for a game.
