I've defiantly reached an important 'conjunction' in my Peacock shawl. The dreaded chart 6. It joins the medium and the large feather motifs together. The whole mess is non symmetrical (yippee reversing decreases & figuring out the second half of the shawl for yourself...) doesn't always seem to line up well with the previous row & didn't look like it was making any sort of a shape till I was a few rows from completing it. I have ripped more on this chart than I probably have on all the shawls I've knit combined. It's taken me almost a week to knit 15 rows, this is like knitting in molasses for me.
Luckily I now only have 2 more pattern rows left to complete it & move on to chart 7, the last one before the border! Plus, now that I've gotten through the nasty bit the pattern is starting to reemerge.
you can see the change near the top, right?

Thanks for the glimpse of your Peacock shawl. It's so beautiful! It almost makes me want to knit lace. ;-)
Go, Rae, go! You can do it.

Your lace knitting is quite beautiful.
I'm currently holding lace knitting on my "too scared to try yet" list along with seaming sweaters and argyle.
