So,
Michigan has been busy giving us it's specialty, days upon days of gray dreary sky. A big reason why certain illnesses, depression & vitamin D deficiencies are so prevalent in this state. However, a few hours ago the clouds broke & blessed us with an absolutely fantastic bright purple sunset!
I had a bit of an unusual day today. Just 2 months ago I had my hairstylist start dyeing my hair (rather than the home job I've been doing...). Apparently neither of us wrote down the brand & color number that we used. So two colors that defiantly weren't correct later my hair is an interesting color. Kind of an almost black plum rather than a bright red. I don't think I want to sit through 2 forty five minute dye setting sessions again. My scalp was a bit sensitive.
I'm okay with the color it ended up, but the color last time was perfect! I hope we can have better luck next time.
Okay, once I was home I did mange to get around to drawing the prizes from my Blog-a-versary contest! I had a lot of fun seeing all of you who delurked. Comments just make my day & I do try to write back most of you. All the prizes came out of my stash & I attempted to match prizes up with the winners, so I hope you all enjoy what I picked!
So without further Ado~
#1~ Sharon your pleading and jumping up and down worked because yours was the first name out of the hat!
Two balls of the lovely and delicious Angora Extra in deep purple.
#2~ Denise over at Knit Chat AKA Knitting without Needles.
3 balls of Jumbo Merino in Fall tones.
#3~Kristi, this makes me so happy! You've got lots of knitting to do, so the least I can do is supply you with a bit of yarn.
Here's a 125g ball of hand dyed super wash merino & a bit of hand spun.
#4 Dana from OCD....Knitting. I think we almost met at the Yarn Harlot signing.
So, I'm sending you a skein of my newest sock yarn, 100% washable merino (fingering weight) in Dahlia.
#5 and final winner~ Pat D. (sadly blogless...) but I happen to know I'm seeing you Friday, so here's an extra bonus for the visit. A skein of my new 100% merino in soft purples, blues, and greens.
I hope that makes a few of you happy! I'll be sending out emails tonight to work out getting prizes to everyone!
