Okay, I've finished a single Argyle Sock. I'm calling it a finished object. I'll knit a second one... probably soon... but I've got a few other things to concentrate on right now.
Pattern: basically my own... I used a 31 stitch wide diamond, an afterthought heel, a footed toe, and ran the seam along the side of the leg rather than the back. (this is as much for my benefit as yours since I'm being risky and took no notes!)
Needles: size 1 26" circ. Knit flat to the end of the last diamond then knit magic loop
Yarn: Brown is Lang Jawoll; green & yellow are from Universal Yarn (so far I give this sock yarn a big thumbs up)
I weighted out the remaining brown & I will need two balls to complete the pair (I used about 35g for this sock). One ball each of the contrasts is plenty though.
They fit so well. I'm pleased...I seamed them up quite loose so they would keep their stretch. The seam still closed up well.
The second pic is for all of you sadistic knitters who want to see the guts of the sock. This is a pretty crowded spot with lots of ends woven in.
We did get cooler today, but it was dark, cloudy, and at times the rain poured down. I'm talking about a major rainfall.
But the flowers were quite happy to receive all that rain!
BTW~ for those of you confused about this mornings post... check out The Amazing Lace. The latest challenge was to photograph your work in progress hidden in plain sight. So two of my shawls (including the dragon who is slowing getting finished) are hidden in the drumset!

Great argyles--I wish the brown showed up better on my end, it looks kind of blue :-(

I know this won't be much of a surprise, but I am your ignorant SP8 pal. I have been putting things together for you all summer and not mailing them or contacting you. I will send out all your stuf in one box in a day or two and hope you can forgive me. My oldest son is about to go to college far away and my youngest son has been at debate camp for 6 weeks, also far away. I have been amazingly depressed. I am surprised about that because I am usually a pretty happy person (except when writing on my blog, which I have kind-of abandoned), but I have not gotten anything accomplished (in retrospect) all summer. I appologise and will send good stuff soon. My son leaves on Friday, so I better get it done before I fall apart--although I think it will be easier once he is gone and settled. So sorry, Bev
