First Blog-a-versary!

Hello All ~
One year ago today I wrote my first blog post. Well, isn't that Special? (Say that again and think SNL Church Lady...)

That post was so cute. I had no idea what I was doing! (still think I don't know what I'm doing most of the time...) I didn't know how to edit photos.
It was all about the 2005 Michigan Fiber Fest. I still haven't spun a single lock of any of those fleeces! To be fair, I did wash them & store them properly & I only got a wheel this last weekend. Those fleeces are all earmarked for future sweaters so I'm not spinning up that much on a spindle!

I've been debating what I would write about for this post for a couple of weeks now. I finally decided on showing you a hint of my stash. I mean the stash my mom & I have at home, this isn't even going into the yarn store!
A Disclaimer: These photos were all taken in the last hour. No items were posed, moved, cleaned, etc. This is what the house just looks like! Yarn or Knitting or Spinning in every single room.

The Living Room:

The main display of the knitting needle collection is all mixed in with the family pictures. Currently the Living Room is also the home of my wheel when it's not at the store... I think it will usually be at the store, but it's here now! I just missed my mom's Potomass (yes I know that's not how it's spelt, I can't say it either) posed on top of the speaker.

Dining Room/Kitchen

3 baskets full of yarn under the table, My electric skein winder, and currently home to a pile of freshly dyed sock yarn on the dining room table waiting to be re skeined...

Yes, even in the bathroom...

Vintage Faux Tortoiseshell needles looking coy next to the foot bath.

In my 'apartment' (i.e. finished basement)

Whole Fleeces & partial knitting projects just pop out everywhere.
In fact that's the Jacob fleece from my first post!

And the creme de la creme
The craft room~

A partially reorganized closed full of stash & undyed yarns...
A box of 10lb Blue Face L. Roving to be dyed soon... (plus my fabric stash)
Shelves full of yet more yarn...

So, do you think we have enough yarn?

To share our fortune with others I'm going to be holding a little drawing.

Keep the comments coming! I'll be drawing names from my comments from the last year this weekend & sending the winners some great yarns!

Thank You For Reading~
and Happy Knitting!

Ok-- I know I have not done right by you with SP8, but, man, you are intimidating the hell out of me flashing stash like you have. I have a bigggggg box (all three combined) nearly completed. I will be out of town for a week beginning Sunday, and want to include some stuff from the place where I am going. Again, I apologize for my slackerness-- I would be disappointed as hell if I got myself. Buttttttt, I swear, I will send a good thing! Bev

Happy Blogaversary!

Congratulations on your Blogiversary!!

Happy Blogiversary (I know I'm a day late).

Happy Blogiversary to you!

Awesome stash!

Your FS Pal

Priscilla:

Happy blogaversary!

PBnJ:

Yay! Yarny stuff, fiber, and needles all over the place! Lotsa fun!

Amy:

Happy blogaversary! I somehow let mine breeze by without notice... I love the pictures of your stash... Occasionally, I will notice that there's yarn in every vessel in every room, and I'll run around and put it away, but it doesn't take long before it crawls out again...

Pat DeLeeuw:

Sorry, but I don't see a thing strange or excessive about your stash!!!! It looks resonable to me-but your're young yet so march on and keep that stash building!I keep building mine since I love touching and seeing the yarn as much as knitting it and because I hope the Higher Power will take pity on me and say "She can't die yet, she has so much in her stash left to knit!"
Let's not even begin to get into pattern stash!

Jeanne Preston:

I was in your store today, and love all your projects. Suzanne(my friend) and I visit as often as possible. I new at this and am learning slowly. Enjoyed your pictures of home. Happy blogiversary and keep up the good work!
