Stress
I had a bit of a stressful day at the store today...
What's Stress?
Stress is realizing that you have no phone & no credit card processing right as approx. 30 knitting guild members from Toledo walk in the door.
You need to be charming and helpful right when your mind is flying into panic mode.
Luckily when we did that craft show thing last November we got one of those old fashion imprinting machines and stored in at the store when we were done. We almost didn't... One of those lines of conversation like..."this would be good in an emergency" "what kind of emergency?" "ummm.... power outage?" "The entire shopping center closes if we have no power... that does include us..." "Well it's kinda bulky & there's no room at home for it so lets just keep it here anyway" "What Ever"
I'm sure glad I lost that battle of wits.
I still don't know why we had no phone, they're coming by Monday to take a look. They said before 7, I hope it's quite a bit before because we close at 5...
Anyways, I'm attempting to destress right now.
The sun has not peaked out from behind the blanket of gray clouds all day, so I took garden pics rather than sky pics.
These two guys are some of my very few gardening successes. They started as absolute failures. The Magnolia was planted in a "bio-degradable" bag that didn't degrade. In about 3 years it had shrunk to about 2 leaves per year. Now it's tripled in size over 2 years. The itty bitty tree to the right of him is a Japanese Maple. When I transplanted the Magnolia I placed it where the Maple had been. The Maple was very very dead (we bought him as a stick on clearance late season so he didn't stand too much of a change). This spring, 2 years after we declared him dead & dug him up, he came back! Now he's almost a foot tall. So cool!
The is the escape window from my room. The only time I put seeds in for the Morning Glories was 2 years ago. They've gone to seed & shower my view with blossoms. The Wisteria is now competition. It has managed to cross under the deck to the other side & down into the escape window. I think they work nicely together as the Wisteria blooms early season & the morning glory blooms late season (first bloom was this week).
And this little guy came over to say *hi*
Damselflies are my favorite animal, if I were the type to have a spirit animal they would be it. I even have one tattooed on my back.
Tomorrow~
Journey to the Michigan Fiber Festival & get my first Spinning Wheel!!!
Now that's a happy thought.

Oh nooooo! Well at least you'll know to keep the "old fashioned" credit card slidermajigger around for good!
I'll render a guess you use SBC? Granted I didn't have a business line with them, but at least once a year our residential phone would just go out for no reason and I'd have to call them. I've lived in a few places and they're by far the worst phone company I've had to deal with!

Hope you found a wheel at FF. I went with Kim Torkko(Yarn Garden) on Sat. and helped at her booth-which did great. The Unspun Icelandic flew out the door. I also did some shopping!! If you didn't find a wheel, Kim has one for sale. She was spinning on it at FF. I don't know a thing about it but her number at the shop is 541-9323(Tues-Sat).
