I saw an excellent play at Lansing Community College today. I've seen just about every show they've put on for the last 6 years or so and this makes the top 5. Now, when they do good, they do really good. Unfortunately when they suck... well... they're good at that too.
Anyways,
The play is called 'The Many Deaths of Shakespeare'. It mainly serves as a showcase for "Art of Combat" a stage combat company headed up by John Lennox (who conveniently wrote and directed the play). The basic premise is that John is a teacher (not a big stretch here) who is teaching a class on the concept of death in the Renaissance. The class final project is to perform all the deaths in Shakespeare's entire cannon. The first act you get a lot of information about why there is so much death in his plays while you see the class rehearse. The second act you see performances of well over 100 deaths that occur in Shakespeare's plays, the finale is quite morbid.
I highly recommend any of you who live near Lansing go spend an evening and see this play.

okay, now a bit of knitting news...
I finished my pair of High Seas Socks. The pattern should be ready in a few days.
I also have been slowly working away at the baby sweater. I finished the body tonight!
The button band will also be out of the chenille, to match the bottom band. The chenille didn't worm at all. It was quite nice to work with. I've got about 70 gm of the cotton boucle left. That should be plenty for the sleeves.
